Brought in a Seiko 5 that had been sitting in a drawer for almost eight years. It was not running at all. After the movement service it came back keeping excellent time — they showed me the timing machine readings at collection which I appreciated. The communication throughout was straightforward.

I had my grandmother's Omega serviced here. The dial had some spotting and I was nervous about what they might do to it. They called before touching anything cosmetically and explained the options — I chose to leave the dial as it was. The movement is running well and the watch still looks exactly as I remember it. Very glad I came here rather than a mall service centre.

Have been using Rattana Studio for three years now across a few different watches. The rebuild on my 1960s Longines took about six weeks but the result was worth it — it runs better than it probably did when it was new. The price was agreed upfront and did not change.

The hand and dial refresh on my daily Tissot was handled very well. The tarnished hands bothered me more than I admitted, and the difference after the service was noticeable. They did not oversell the work or push for a full service when I did not need one. That honesty made a good impression.

Came to them with an unusual question — a mid-century Swiss movement where I was not sure if repair was worth the cost. They gave me an honest assessment and suggested the simpler movement service rather than the full rebuild I had assumed was needed. That saved me a significant amount and the watch is running well six months on.

My father's Rolex Datejust needed attention — the movement was erratic and the winding felt gritty. The studio handled it with obvious care and the communication was clear. A small part needed sourcing which added about two weeks but they let me know straight away. The finished result was worth the wait.

A 1967 Seiko 62MAS — Stopped Completely
Vintage rebuild · 8 weeks
The Challenge
The owner brought in a vintage diver that had not run in more than fifteen years. Several parts were corroded and the mainspring was clearly fatigued. The dial and hands still had original condition he wanted to preserve.
What We Did
A full vintage rebuild: period-correct donor parts sourced for the damaged components, original dial and hands cleaned only where necessary, movement fully serviced. A written plan was agreed before work started.
The Result
Running within ±8 seconds per day. Original parts conserved where possible. Owner noted the watch now looks and feels as he imagined it did when his uncle wore it. Service record and timing print provided.
"I had been putting this off for years because I did not trust anyone with it. The way they talked me through the plan made the decision straightforward." — Vintage rebuild customer, 2025
A Gifted Tissot — Hands Heavily Tarnished
Hand & dial refresh · 2 weeks
The Challenge
A watch received as a thirtieth birthday gift had developed heavy tarnish on the gold-toned hands. The movement was running well; only the cosmetic condition was the concern.
What We Did
Hand assessment and careful replacement with matching period-correct parts. The dial was left untouched as the patina was subtle and the owner preferred to keep it. Minimal intervention, agreed scope.
The Result
The watch returned looking considerably more presentable without any alteration to its dial character. Work carried out within agreed budget with no additional charges.
"They respected that I wanted it to look better, not brand new. That is a distinction not every workshop understands." — Dial refresh customer, 2025
A Daily Automatic — Running Irregularly
Movement service · 3 weeks
The Challenge
A seven-year-old Swiss automatic that had never been serviced was losing two to three minutes per day and occasionally stopping overnight. The owner used it daily and needed a straightforward assessment.
What We Did
Full movement service: disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, fresh lubrication, and timing machine regulation. One worn jewel noted and discussed; owner chose to have it replaced within the service scope.
The Result
Running within ±5 seconds per day at collection. Amplitude restored to appropriate range. Owner confirmed after three months that the watch had maintained rate consistently.
"Simple, honest service. They told me what was wrong, told me what it would cost, and delivered exactly what they said." — Movement service customer, 2025
